Hello - I’m Jana Kaeppler, and I know what it’s like to run on EMPTY.
A few years ago, life looked fine from the outside. I had two young kids, a demanding part-time job, and was running our boutique accommodation business here in Twizel with my partner, Sean. But inside, I was exhausted.
My days blurred into endless “to-do” lists - juggling work deadlines, guests, and family needs. I was constantly on edge, relying on coffee and sugar to function. Sleep never left me refreshed; my focus was fading, and sometimes my heart would race for no reason. I kept pushing through until my body delivered a louder message: a debilitating thyroid condition.
It wasn’t the whole story, but it was the wake-up call I needed. I realised that I couldn’t keep living on stress and autopilot - I had to learn how to truly support my health.
My journey back wasn’t about quick fixes. I learned how to nourish my gut, calm my nervous system, and create sustainable habits that allowed my body - and mind - to recover. Slowly, I felt my energy increase, my focus return, and my sense of self grow stronger again.
Before becoming a health coach, I worked as a Geospatial Analyst — a role that sharpened my analytical skills and ability to spot patterns others miss. Now, I use those same skills to help women uncover what’s driving their burnout and create practical, personalised strategies to heal.
Today, my passion is guiding women who feel overwhelmed and depleted to move from burnout to thriving. I know how heavy life can feel when you’re running on empty — and the freedom that comes when you reclaim your energy.
